All orders are packed and dispatched to our couriers from our business office in Dublin (Ireland) within 3-4 working days.

INFORMATION ABOUT ADDITIONAL TAXES AND IMPORT DUTIES
Orders placed to be sent to the US, Canada and Worldwide
Import duty, taxes and any additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point) are not included in the shipping cost and are the customer’s responsibility to pay upon arrival of your parcel. If you have any concerns, please contact your local customs office for more information on any possible additional charges. This applies to all orders whether dispatched by us from our office in Ireland or the UK.
Orders placed to be sent to EU countries
Orders to EU countries are, in the main, dispatched from our office in Ireland and will therefore not incur any import duties, taxes or additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point).
However, there may be occasions when the item/s you have ordered can only be sent to you from our office in London and may incur the mentioned additional charges. If this is the case, we will contact you to ask if you would like to proceed with your order and we can, if stock allows, offer an alternative from the stock we have in Ireland.
If you would like to proceed with your order dispatched from our UK office to an EU address, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any import duties, taxes or additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point) upon the arrival of your parcel in country. Please contact your local customs office for more information about the associated costs.
Some general information about shipping
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number that can be used to track your order (please check your spam folder as it is an automated email). For any queries, please email info@theethicalsilkco.com
We do not ship to PO Boxes as we ask our couriers to obtain a signature to ensure the safe arrival of your order.
Some delays may arise due to local customs procedures. These are unfortunately out of our control.
Please allow for longer shipping times during busy holiday periods.
A word about deliveries that have not reached you
Very occasionally, customers advise us that an order they placed that has been marked as delivered by our couriers to their given address, has actually not arrived. If this happens, please follow the process as detailed below:
Advise us that the parcel has not reached you via info@theethicalsilkco.com. Please add your order number to the email.
Within 7 working days, report the issue to your local police force and obtain a crime reference number (or equivalent)
Pass the reference number to us, again at info@theethicalsilkco.com
We will then go ahead and issue you with a refund for the missing items.
We would like to re-iterate that this type of issue happens only on very seldom occasions and we do request that our couriers obtain a signature on delivery. We will do our utmost to resolve the situation for you.
