We are always trying to improve our packaging options. We keep our standard packaging to a minimum and to ensure each order is protected during its shipment, we wrap our products in tissue paper and use a clear eco bag made from corn starch (annually renewable) that is compostable (sourced from Ecoland). Our standard mailers are made from 100% recycled material and are 100% recyclable (sourced from Lil Packaging).
During checkout there is the option to let us know if an item is a gift so we can gift wrap, at no extra charge. Our larger products and gifts are gift wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a gift bag, made from 40% recycled card and fully recyclable, or a gift box, made from recycled cardboard and fully recyclable. Our gift boxes make very pretty storage boxes for jewellery, stationary etc and we love to see our customers making good use from them.
Shipping costs are at a flat rate of €7.00 per order within Rep. of Ireland and €10.00 worldwide. Free shipping applies to all orders over €100 / USD$100 / £100. Below this value shipping costs are:

All orders are dispatched within 48 hours and are shipped via :
US/Canada: FedEx (approx 3 days)
Ireland: DPD (approx 2 days)

Europe: Tracked via An Post/FedEx/DPD (approx 5-7 days)
Rest of the world: Tracked post with An Post (approx 10 - 15 working days)

The price quote for duties is determined by the destination customs authority. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
For UK customers, VAT is added during checkout so no additional charges are applicable upon delivery in the UK.

However, if you are not entirely satisfied, please get in touch to let us know why you are disappointed and we will issue a full refund as long as the item is not used and is returned with all it's original packaging within 28 days of purchase to the following address:

When returning goods, please obtain proof of postage as The Ethical Silk Company cannot accept responsibility for items which fail to reach us.
A detailed size guide is accessible on each product page, along with information about block printing and caring for your silk. Please take the time to read through and check sizings as The Ethical Silk Company will not pay for the cost of returns unless the goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you would like a different size, colour etc., please let us know and return your item. We will ship a replacement or issue a refund if we do not have the particular item you want in stock.
Please bear in mind that natural silk, like all natural materials, can occasionally have a slight irregularity in its weave. All our printed products are printed by hand using artisan techniques of block printing. Slight imperfections in colour and patterns are characteristic of block printing, making each piece unique, a one of a kind. We see these as a sign of the garment's authenticity and its hand made beauty.
