Orders placed to be sent tothe US, Canada and Worldwide
Import duty, taxes and any additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point) are not included in the shipping cost and are the customer’s responsibility to pay upon arrival of your parcel. If you have any concerns, please contact your local customs office for more information on any possible additional charges. This applies to all orders whether dispatched by us from our office in Ireland or the UK.
Orders placed to be sent to EU countries
Orders to EU countries are, in the main, dispatched from our office in Ireland and will therefore not incur any import duties, taxes or additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point).
However, there may be occasions when the item/s you have ordered can only be sent to you from our office in London and may incur the mentioned additional charges. If this is the case, we will contact you to ask if you would like to proceed with your order and we can, if stock allows, offer an alternative from the stock we have in Ireland.
Ifyou would like to proceed with your order dispatched from our UK office to an EU address, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any import duties, taxes or additional charges (for example handling charges at the customs point)upon the arrival of your parcel in country. Please contact your local customs office for more information about the associated costs.

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number that can be used to track your order (please check your spam folder as it is an automated email). For any queries, please email info@theethicalsilkco.com
We do not ship to PO Boxes as we ask our couriers to obtain a signature to ensure the safe arrival of your order.
Some delays may arise due to local customs procedures. These are unfortunately out of our control.
Please allow for longer shipping times during busy holiday periods and Public/Bank Holidays in the UK and Ireland, when our team may be away from the office. If you are concerned about your order being affected, please do not hesitate to email us at: info@theethicalsilkco.com.
A word about deliveries that have not reached you
Very occasionally, customers advise us that an order they placed that has been marked as delivered by our couriers to their given address, has actually not arrived. If this happens, please follow the process as detailed below:
Advise us that the parcel has not reached you via info@theethicalsilkco.com. Please add your order number to the email.
Within 7 working days, report the issue to your local police force and obtain a crime reference number (or equivalent)
We will then go ahead and issue you with a refund for the missing items.
We would like to re-iterate that this type of issue happens only on very seldomoccasions and we do request that our couriers obtain a signature on delivery. We will do our utmost to resolve the situation for you.

For the highest benefit to your skin & hair, we've kept our pillowcases their natural colour, so there are no dyes or chemicals used to whiten or colour them. The colour is a beautiful pearled ivory with a hint of cream. The unique production process of our eco-friendly mulberry silk results in a beautifully soft silk with a texture like that of a fine linen, and a more matte lustre than the shiny finish seen in traditional silk.
A natural protein fibre, silk does not conduct static electricity, thus helping reduce hair breakage (the dreaded bed head). Unlike cotton, silk does not draw moisture away from your skin and hair. Instead it promotes a proper moisture balance and allows any face creams etc to be absorbed into your skin rather than into your pillow.

Printed by hand using artisan technique of block printing. Slight irregularities in colour and design are characteristic of block printing, making each piece unique. These imperfections are seen as a sign of the piece's hand made beauty and its authenticity.
Dyes used are AZO free, low impact dyes and all water used in the process is treated & recycled
Regular washing is recommended for eye masks due to their intimate position on the face and all it involves (make up, lotions and creams etc). We recommend washing in luke warm water, by hand or gentle machine cycle, using gentle detergent, and ironing from damp.

I adore these silk pillowcases, and am a returning customer. Once I discovered how silk is made it really put me off buying it, and I am so happy that I found the ethical company that uses the cocoons only once the moth has vacated rather than boiling them alive, which is honestly beyond cruel. These pillowcases are part of the reason why I think I have fewer wrinkles than my friends who are my age. Highly recommend!

Slightly buttery colour, classy pillowcase. As per the description, it has a linen-type texture - not slippery. Definitely makes a difference to hair (reduces frizz). It's not necessarily colder to sleep on, but it regulates temperature better than cotton. Would highly recommend.
My fiance bought this pillowcase for me in Christmas of 2020 to help with my skin and acne. Other silk pillowcases have dyes or added chemicals that have made my skin irritated. However, since using this pillowcase, my skin has improved and surprisingly my hair is healthier as well. My fiance loved the pillowcase so much that I ended up buying one for her. I recommend this pillowcase to anyone that is looking for good quality silk.

I originally bought this pillowcase for my fiance for Christmas because he has sensitive skin and other silk pillowcases have dyes/chemicals that aren't good for skin. I fell in love with the pillowcase so much that my fiance actually ended up buying one for me! It's amazing quality; I have curly/dry hair and this pillowcase has reduced the damage to my hair significantly! I can't recommend this company enough.

The feel of the fabric is not as I expected. I was hoping for the pillow to be cool to the touch and silky.. It is great quality and I like the enveloped closure to keep the pillow in its case. I appreciate the ethical processing of the material just wish it replicated the feel of silk.
Stunningly soft ethical silk! Softer than non-ethical. I have bought two of these over the years having discovered them on my 40s. I recommend them to everyone due to their softness and the experience of sleeping with this silk next to my skin. No more creases in the morning on my face and softer on my hair. I recently bought one as a gift for an old friend and she too cannot believe the softness. I always choose the natural colour. I have also purchased the eye masks and they are brilliant too. Look after the silk, wash it as per instructions and enjoy enjoy!!!

I love my pillowcases. They are not only beautiful but made so well. I’ve purchased a pair years ago and wanted to get this recent purchase because I just love my Ethical Silk pillowcases the most. They stand out to me over other pillowcases because of how beautifully they are wearing, how soft they are, and the fact I reach for them over others.
I bought my pillowcase as a replacement for one that wore out. I had it for a very long time so I hope this one lasts as long. The only reason I made the purchase is because it is natural undyed ahimsa silk. Although it doesn’t say that on its label.

Beautiful quality; thick and smooth, but not satin-y. Gorgeous unbleached color.
My 25-year old son recently talked with me about getting a silk pillowcase and the reasons for doing so. It made me wonder how silk is being produced, from cocoon to final product. Doing some research, I found The Ethical Silk Company among others that were recommended in a review article. In the end I decided to splurge and go with their pillowcases. Given 50% off the second one, I bought a pillowcase for me too. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and a gentle almost cream white natural silk color. What I hadn't considered is the stitching.
